About me
I am Nuria a 37 year old Argentinian mother of two, resident of Manchester, UK.
From an early age I always felt in a very close relationship with my physical body. Always practicing some sport, swimming or gymnastics. Already at 25 years old, in 2012 yoga crossed my path and it was love at first sight. Since then, I have learned and nurtured myself every day a little more from this beautiful tool that has become a true lifestyle over time.
In 2013 I started a 3-year instructor course in a space called "La Buena Tierra" (located in Buenos Aires), with a very rich course in terms of content and experiences, which I only thought of doing to nurture myself and soak up with knowledge. I have practices many different types of yoga! Iyengar, Hot Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Mantra, Gnani, Tantra and the list could go on and on!
In the middle of my studies, life opened up and I became the mother of a beautiful human being called Zahid. He was, without a doubt, the one who fueled the fire and gave me the strength to start a great project in which he launched me to become a Yoga Teacher. The first experience, even while pregnant, was providing classes to children of different ages. Then, once I became an instructor, I started teaching adults and teenagers. And after that a great opportunity appeared and I started teaching the elderly, which became one of my passions. Each and every one of these experiences have been a fundamental and transformative part of my life as a professional and as a human being and of which, every day without fail, I feel more and more grateful to have the opportunity to continue expanding.
My second pregnancy found me with a very big mental and emotional paradigm shift and before my beloved daughter Olyssia was one year old, I began training as a Doula with a great friend and sister, in a space called “Amazona ” (also located in Buenos Aires) which changed my life forever. From there, a large part of my study and training time is also dedicated to pre and post-natal yoga, where I share from my personal experience, how beneficial it is to have a tool like yoga to go through pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, puerperium, parenting... and life itself!
In March 2020, I started a specialization in Tantra Yoga taught by the “Instituto Argentino de Yoga”, which I finished online, due to the pandemic, at the end of that same year.
I love what I do. For the past 9 years I have worked both independently, as well as for different spaces, associations, gyms, schools and events, providing both personalized, individual and group classes.
In my classes the trademark was always (and will continue to be) music. My great love for music led me to several years of study and development of different styles, including some music from India. Far from being a professional in that aspect, I feel that it combines very well a moment where the sound can be the main character for a while within a class or a meeting. Indian music is very rich in its melodies and rhythms and, in my opinion, it is the perfect supporting feature for a Yoga Class.
